January 4, 2012. Friday. A new year, new beginning and a brand new
place to dine at here in HOG’S BREATH CAFÉ. The first HBC branch in Philippines
situated in SM Premiere, Lanang Fountain Court.
Woah, very spacious café and bar surrounded with flat screen
televisions showing different movies and channels, new! Walls were delimited
with lots and lots of frames and plate numbers, hmm fresh! For first timers
like me, getting in isn’t difficult since you’ll be accompanied with your
personal service crew which will help you get acquainted with their cuisine. HBC had been boasting their Aussie inspired
prime rib steak, and we’re about to taste it.
Here’s their best tasting “Garlic Prawn Prime Rib Steak” placed in a
huge plate with two side dishes. You may essentially choose what sidings to be
placed in from vegetable, Salad, and Fries. For an Aussie appetite this serving
is good for an individual, but for Filipinos this serving can be shared by two.
Great! But the greatest thing there is its taste! Really appetizing and
flavorful! Never been tough for a date. Quality steak in a quality steakhouse!
All worth the price! Best Serve in a medium rare type.
Another saleable dish they offer is “Golden Prawn Tempura” rested in chips
(either banana or cassava chips) I forgot to ask, served in their own prawn dip
sauce and veggies. I was actually amazed with its chips. Hahah.
Good thing plain rice was no longer available, so we opted to be
served with what they called “Cajun Rice”, formerly known as “the dirty rice”, not
much known but we’ve tried and the result? Unregretful!
For our smoothies and juice, we chose “Tropical Smoothie” and my
partner’s favorite “Apple juice”. In
fact, they were serving several drinks includes mojitos, beers, wines, sharp
shooters, and premium spirits.
I’ve read that HBC are planning to build their second branch in Manila
and next in Cagayan De Oro.
I’d like to mention our personal service crew “Stelle” who have been
very kind in taking some photo shots down the café while we’re having our
dinner. Other crews were really
accommodating; no discrimination I think was tolerated.
I’ve took some photos from their menu.
Ta ta! My company!
